Fort Myers Florida

Fort Myers is a fast growing city regarded as the gateway to Florida. Known mainly as a tourist destination thanks to its proximity to the Gulf of Mexico and Everglades, it is a thriving little city of around 80,000 people. Located south of Tampa and west of Palm Beach and next to Cape Coral to the west, it’s an idyllic area at the mouth of the Caloosahatchee River.

As the name suggests, Fort Myers began life as a military outpost and was named after Colonel Abraham Myers. There is no dominant industry here, it’s a mix of small town industries, tourism and commutes to other cities. It’s a nice mix of local and distant employment that keeps the town low key but prosperous.

Corporate rentals in Fort Myers are mainly furnished apartments in high quality developments. Thanks to the climate, most are within private tropical settings close to the town center or beach. All will be fully furnished and equipped with everything you’ll need.
