Snow Sports
The fact that Denver is so close to the mountains means snow sports are very popular with residents. Colorado has some of the best snow in the world and four of our resorts feature in the US Top Ten destinations every year.

Hiking
Hikers are equally well-served all year round. The National Parks all have hiking trails, as does the mountains and a host of other areas. There are literally hundreds of miles of trails for you to hike.
Enjoy Castlewood Canyon State Park, Golden Gate Canyon State Park, Rocky Mountain National Park,Matthews/Winters Park and Chatauqua Park to name a few. All have miles of trails and facilities for picnics and parking.
Biking
Mountain biking is also well-served, with over 850 miles of trails stretching across the state. Colorado also has a range of bike-specific trails, downhills and jump tracks for you to enjoy should you feel brave.
Notable biking areas include Apex Park, Barr Lake State Park, Betasso Preserve Mountain Bike Trail and Red Rocks Trail.
